Can Diabetes be Stopped?

Diabetes is a silent plague in our world today.  Tens of millions of people in our modern society are afflicted with it, and more people are being diagnosed as having it every day.  With those kinds of numbers on its side, it would be very easy to think that diabetes might be some kind of indestructible super bug, that could make AIDS look like nothing more dangerous than a mild, sneeze inducing irritation of the nose.  But contrary to what the numbers are telling us, survey conducted through online survey software shows that 95 percent of all of the world’s cases of diabtes are preventable, even when the earliest warning signs are already beginning to present themselves as what medical professionals call prediabetes.  It all comes down to what you eat, and how much you exercise.

If it was not obvious to you already, you have got to keep your body active every day.  Just sitting around is not only bad for your circulation and the functioning of your brain (because of said lack of circulation).  It is also a great way to not use the blood sugar that you have, which can cause your cells not to absorb it as efficiently as they would naturally do.  When you stay active, however, you do not just help your overall health.  You can actually stop diabetes from ever coming about in your body in the first place.

But just working out on a regular basis and keeping generally active every day are not enough.  No matter how great your workouts may be, you have also got to keep some degree of reason in your diet.  If your diet is not healthy, you will only end up fighting yourself.  And since most people tend to become more sedentary as they get older, taking on highly sugary eating habits today is going to bite you in terrible ways much sooner than you might think.  The combination of diet and exercise is the key.
